The Log Cabin is surrounded by many interesting and exciting activities and adventures to explore during your stay. There are a number of stunning walking tracks on our doorstep and we are only a few minutes drive from a great starting point to cycle the Hauraki Rail Trail. A short drive takes you to one of our favourite award winning Restaurants, The Falls Retreat Bistro, and yoga, pottery making lessons, massage therapies and train rides are all within easy reach. Waihi Golf Club, a wonderful par 72, golf course situated amongst beautiful lush green surroundings, is just a 12 minute drive away.

Bulls Wool Farm

The farm has a diverse and interesting array of rare breed farm animals, working farm museums and an award-winning Native Bird Reserve. There is so much to see, do, explore and learn about! The Farm offers an authentic taste of Kiwi farm life, and is one of New Zealand's most beloved and iconic rural experiences.

Travel back in time and enjoy a ride on a heritage train with Goldfields Railway. Journey between Waihi and Waikino at the eastern end of the spectacular Karangahake Gorge.
